Your responses will help us bring more jobs and businesses to the town.

The Management Team will meet at the Town Hall on Tuesday, June 12th. Lunch will be provided.

The Management Team had its second meeting on May 14th. Andrew Cohill led a discussion on the various kinds of infrastructure that is typically deployed by communities for telecom, including duct, fiber cable, neighborhood equipment cabinents, and wireless towers. Cohill had samples of the some of the duct and fiber systems that are commonly used.

Attendees were given a copy of a 60 page Broadband Primer that covered the information presented at the meeting in more detail. If you would like a copy and were not able to attend the meeting, Tina Rowe has extra copies.

The next meeting of the Broadband Management Team will be on Monday, May 14th, at 6:30 PM.

This meeting will discuss various broadband technologies and options for Pennington Gap in detail.

Dinner will be served, and the consultant,Andrew Cohill, will have a presentation that will provide an overview of the planning process and basic information about how improved access to broadband can help economic development and create new job opportunities.
